Book review structure and opinion writing.
A book review requires integrating plot summary (what happened), analysis (why it matters), and evaluation (how well it succeeded) — three cognitively distinct tasks that most students conflate. Structuring these tasks explicitly builds critical writing ability that transfers to all analytical writing.
1. Write title and author. 2. Summarize plot in 3 sentences. 3. Describe main character. 4. Give rating and reason.
