Why It Works

The learning connection

Hands-on activities engage students, making abstract concepts tangible. Creating and testing airplanes fosters curiosity and critical thinking.

Extend the Lesson

Try it with your learner

1. Take the A4 paper and fold it in half lengthwise, then unfold it. 2. Fold the top two corners down to the center crease. 3. Fold the triangle down so the top edges align with the bottom of the triangle. 4. Fold the airplane in half along the original crease. 5. Fold the wings down at an angle to create a shape. 6. Now, throw your airplane and measure how far it flies. What did you notice?
