1. Fill the pot with garden soil until it's about 3/4 full. 2. Plant the seeds or small plants into the soil, following the instructions on the seed packet. 3. Gently press the soil around the plants to secure them. 4. Water the plants until the soil is moist but not soaking. 5. Place the pot in a sunny location. 6. Observe your garden daily and note any changes you see.
