  1. Gather all your materials on a clean table.
  2. Cut the bottle in half and use the top as a funnel.
  3. Layer sand, charcoal, and gravel in the funnel.

Pour a layer of gravel on top of the sand. 5. Slowly pour the dirty water into the filter. 6. Collect the clean water in a container and observe the difference. What did you notice?
